Privacy Policy for Futari

Futari is a private app for two people to organize shared records such as dates, lists, memories, notes, trackers, photos, visited cities, and dream audio. This policy explains what data the app processes, why it is used, and what controls are available.

Who Controls the Data

Futari is maintained by Pedro Andrade. For privacy requests, support, or account deletion help, contact app.futari@outlook.com.

Data We Collect

Futari collects and stores only the data needed for the app to function:

  • Account data, including email address, user identifier, display name, optional profile photo, and optional birth date.
  • Couple space data, including shared space name, invite code, and the link between the two members.
  • User-created content, including lists, items, dates, events, wall notes, memories, photos, trackers, notes, ratings, visited cities, books, wines, bets, and dreams.
  • Media uploaded by the user, including profile photos, memory photos, tracker photos, and audio recorded in the dreams section.
  • Basic technical data, including internal identifiers, creation/update timestamps, and information required to sync content between the two members.

Futari does not collect real-time device location. The cities section uses only cities that users manually add or select in the app.

How We Use Data

  • Authenticate users and keep sessions active.
  • Create and maintain the private shared space.
  • Sync content between the two members.
  • Show photos, audio, lists, dates, and trackers in the app.
  • Enable profile editing, leaving a shared space, signing out, and account deletion.
  • Maintain security, integrity, and basic service operation.

We do not sell personal data. We do not use Futari data for behavioral advertising. We do not share couple content with other users.

Service Providers

Futari uses infrastructure providers to operate the service:

  • Supabase for authentication, database, storage, and sync.
  • Expo/EAS for app builds, updates, and distribution tooling.
  • Apple for TestFlight/App Store distribution and related OS services.

These providers process data only to support the technical operation of the app, subject to their own terms and policies.

Photos, Microphone, and Permissions

Futari may request photo access so users can choose images for profiles, memories, lists, cities, wines, or books. Futari may request microphone access to record audio in the dreams section.

These permissions are optional. If a permission is denied, the rest of the app remains available, though features that depend on that permission may be limited.

Retention and Deletion

Data remains stored while an account is active or while it is needed to maintain the shared couple space.

Inside the app, users can sign out, leave the couple space, or delete their account.

When a user deletes their account, Futari removes personal data linked to that user, such as profile data, profile photo, birth date, individual progress, and individual ratings. Because Futari is shared by two people, content belonging to the shared couple space may remain available to the other member unless deletion of that specific content is available in the app.

Security

Futari uses Supabase Auth and database access policies to limit content to the corresponding couple space. Private files are stored in buckets with access rules related to the user and couple space. No system is completely immune to risk. If you suspect improper access, contact support.

Children

Futari is not intended for children. The app should be used only by people old enough to consent to account creation and storage of their own data under applicable law.

Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated as Futari evolves. When relevant changes are made, the update date will change and the latest version will remain available at this URL.
